Need advice please on guesthouse / hotel in Kuala Lumpur!

Does someone know an affordable hotel / hostel / guesthouse in KL where the rooms are NOT tiny windowless traps? I don´t need luxury, aircondition, own bathroom, or extraordinary cleanliness but please a little more space and a window. I´m willing to pay extra for that. Doesn´t have to be in Chinatown, but near it or near Puduraya bus terminal would be good. If the Heritage Station Hotel was open, I´d go there, but I heard it´s closed? Can´t find reliable info unfortunately.

Thank you so much for your help and sharing your experiences!

Update on this, I'm in Kuala Lumpur currently and have looked at many hotels in the Chinatown area, the price for a single a/c room double bed ensuite is 60-70 ringitt and +10-20 more on the weekends, for this price you get a very small room that has the amenities but is far from decent. It's dirty and worn looking. You can go a little lower like 45-50 but you have to give up the ensuite bathroom or the ac. The lowest price I saw was 35 ringitt, for that you can get a micro sized room with a bed in it and nothing else, shared bathroom and extremely unpleasant, lowest of low conditions. I believe to get a decent room you would be looking in the 80-90 ringitt price range on weekdays and +10-20 on the weekends.
