ITINERARY QUESTION

I´ll apreciate any advise on this:

Best way to conect a Mrauk U visit with the typical Yangon-Mandalay-Bagan-Inle trip. And your opinion about the possibility of doing this trip in only 15 days.

Read current posts on the forum. Mrauk U is not open to tourists at the minute.

As #1 says, Mrauk U is not open to foreigners due to ongoing sectarian/ethnic violence. No one knows when it will re-open.

Getting to Mrauk U takes time, You have to fly to Sittwe from Yangon (if you are coming from Bagan or Mandalay or Inle, you will still have to fly to Yangon to catch a flight to Sittwee. From Sitwee it is a 4-6 hour boat ride. You cannot get to Mrauk U by road... roads are bad and permits are required. If your timing is right, you can get from Yangon to Mrauk U in one full day. If your timing is not right, it will take two days to get to Mrauk U. Likewise the return trip. Once you get to Mrauk U you will want 2-3 days to explore.

Doing the "big 4" plus Mrauk U in 15 days? I don't recommend it.
