Cyclades sailing

Hi all,

My mum is turning 60 in July and I want to suprise her with an amazing get away. I would really like to charter a yacht/sail boat and sail the Cyclades for about 5/7days. We would also need a skipper as none of us have sailing expereince. There would be 5 of us.

Can anyone recommend a good company? I have been trawling through internet sites but as I have very little knowledge I don't know what good value for money is. As far as I can see the average price seems to be around 2000 euros for the boat per week, does this seem right? Then I assume we hire skipper and extras on top of that?

Thanks so much for any advice!

That price seems about right to me. I assume it'll also depend on the time, june may be cheaper than july or august. I suggest you also have a look in YBW (yachting and boating world), where there is a subforum about cruising and renting if I remember correctly.

Hi there!

You can check incrediblue for renting a boat with crew! I booked a bareboat sailing boat last month from that site. You can contact the owner and ask him for information, you can see real photos from the boats etc. I think that you will have a lot of options for Cyclades. Just give it a try! :)

Best regards,
Lilly

Hi,

We use http://www.oceanblueyachts.com. They are a UK based company, and have yachts of all types, for rent with, or without skipper, in Greece ( and lots of other places), very helpful.
