MALAYSIA - Perentian or Tioman Islands
Hi!We are riding on bike from Thailand to Malaysia, want to do some snorkeling, and maybe scuba.
Been on Koh Wai and Chang already, left out Koh Tao (too busy).
Now we are deciding between Perentian and Tioman.
Which is better for snorkeling? Which has lesser crowds, and perhaps cheaper bungalows?

Tioman is less crowded but mainly for diving, Perhentian (and the nearby Redang) more tourist and have some pretty good snorkeling sites, as far as snorkeling concern, i prefer Redang, disadvantage is more crowded and more expensive.2
Juara on Tioman is cheapest and has best beach although snorlelling not great . Prehentians are just spoiled resort islands nowadays although some people still enjoy them . Much of Perhentains fringing coral is gone or degraded. DLaggoon on small island (Perhentian Kecil) for example used to have good coral , now its degraded.PICTURE Juara , Tioman island.
