Additional question booking Sapa or cruise first/Thanks for your answers to my prior post.
I will do Sapa for 4-5 days and a cruise as well. 2-3 days.
As my exact schedule is unknown should I prebook a cruise before arriving in Hanoi and then off to Sapa
or after Sapa, which would only give me a 1 day advance booking?
The last time I was there I booked a smallish "junk" cruise on a days notice but I'm sure times may have changed.
Thanks in advance.

2It also depends on your flight landed.
Normally, when you arrive Hanoi and if you spend 1 day in Hanoi, there is not necessary to book in advance.
There are hundred of tour offices or, travel agent in the Old Quarter.
But if you got exact schedule, of course book in advance is great.
Enjoy your trip./.

You can start your trip in Sapa and book your a trip directly there (there is many serious agency as SapaTravelmate, its the one i used) and then as the post above say you can also book a trip to halong bay in Sapa, take the night train who will arrive in Hanoi about 05h00 am and then start your trip by take the bus at 08h00.
You will save time in this case.
