Dinka cattle camp visitHello people,
I am very interested in visiting a Dinka cattle camp to photograph the daily life of the people and their animals. Would it be possible to visit a cattle camp for 2 or 3 days to do this? How would I go about organizing it? I've found only one company on the internet that runs trips like this, but $4000 for 3 days are somewhat out of my reach.

I don't know if you got anywhere with this - if you did I would love to hear back from you. I'm actually heading to SS shortly to do exactly the same thing. I'm heading up to Bor where I have already arranged to then be dropped off with camping gear and a translator at a Dinka cattle camp out of town for a couple of nights. If you haven't yet done it yourself I will post a report here after my return.

I haven't yet been there. I'm going (hopefully) in the back half of June and will post up here in July when i get home. I say I am hopefully going in June because the people in Juba helping to organise things have just told me that there is a lot of rebel activity in the area I am headed too and that it might make a visit problematic. Hopefully it will all be ok (espically as I have a non-refundable air ticket!).
