45Jiangnan, wow, very impressive.
you gave me lot's of ideas actually.
i sadly decided that Xinjiang will be posponed for the next trip to china, that obviously will take place, after reading so many recommendations, and while having so little time.
i need to find out how easy it is to use the local transportation to move around to Chishui and Xishui areas. Bamei & Luoping sound interesting as well LOL
well, tough decisions must be taken in the next few days :)
i really appreciate your help and support... I'm sure the added value to my trip is changed for the good, thanks to you, and to the other folks that helped me. :)

I love reading your posts about the off-the-beaten track places in China. As I cannot PM you, would you please be so kind to tell me more about how to get to Youxi rice terrace in Fujian? The English and Chinese websites I have found so far are not very helpful. Thank you in advance!

It's not that hard to get to Youxi. check the map at this link. I've never heard of the place before but I'm near Shantou which isn't too far from Youxi so I might go check this place out myself.
