Anything is possible in Cuba. I share a room and the taxis with someone but somehow I get struck with the tab.

If you are Cuban you can live on 0.50 cuc daily; if you can call that a Life.

As a foreign visitor you could also travel and stay for 50 cuc daily; if you call that traveling at all.

Funny how Cubans like to live like a tourist in a 5* all-inclusive hotel/resort and how tourists like to live like a Cuban in the campo.

Jorge -- my friend is Cuban and she lives in a small town and she can't live on 0.50cuc a day.

If all you eat is rice and, maybe, some beans...you can live on about 12 CUP/day and have money left over. No, it is not a life,

greslogo -- correction. If all SHE eats is rice and maybe some beans. I will eat at Los Nardos with the other Cubans with family or relatives in Miami footing the tab.

There you go.....jeje

That is worthy of a very lengthy response but I think it would get pulled so I won't bother. It, for some reason, reminds me of a phrase I have seen more than once on travel forums.... those happy and friendly Cubans....... I snicker when I read those.
