Questions about studying in Lebanon at Holy Spirit University of Kaslik
HiI am a 22-year-old belgian student and I am now considering going to Lebanon for 4 months at Holy Spirit University of Kalsik, begining next september.
Unfortunately, some of my family members are trying to discourage me from going regarding the 'local situation' and the potential danger. I don't want to miss this opportunity. Is it really safe? I am also looking for strong arguments to back my speech up to convince my relatives. Can you help me?

Good day Max,I'm a Lebanese who been living here for quite some time, and as much as i would like to tell you it is safe to come over, it isn't, your parents are right. The country is currently going under "political turmoil" as the elections are a couple of months away , things aren't stable, that's one. and Two because of the war in Syria and this country being divided into two fronts the pro Syrians-Iran and the pro Americans/Israel , there is no telling when a war might start with Israel,Syria or a sectarian war between the Lebanese themselves .
If you want my two cents i'd say missing this opportunity would be a wise decision.
