Arenal Volcano to Nicaragua- share a shuttle?
Hi,I will be travelling with a friend on the 19th March from the Arenal Volcano area up to Nicaragua . We are looking at organising a private shuttle as it is quicker and looking for people to share the travel and the cost. Please contact me if you are taking this route on that day. Ultimately we are going to San Juan Del Sur but are open to suggestions. We have been quoted around $220 for the journey to the boarder.

You can do this for far less, just get a shuttle from Arenal to Liberia, 3 hours, then catch a bus from Liberia to border, then leave every 30 minutes, takes 2 hours, then once across border, which can be 30 minutes to 1-2 hours, taxi hire to SJDS for $30.You can take two busses from La Fortuna to Tiburon, then Canas and then Liberia, figure 4 hours for all that or more. Then bus to border.
