Iteneary

My husband and I are planning to travel from India to Greece for 2 weeks. We were thinking of covering Athens- 3-4 days (including a day trip to Delphi/Paros)
Santaroni-3 days (includes a day trip to one of the nearby islands)
Andros/Naxos/ Mykanos- 3-4 days (includes a day trip to Delos)
Nafplio and/or Peloponnese Peninsula- 4 days.

Is this fine? Are there any other suggestions? Also, would welcome suggestions for places to stay and see in these destinations.

Also to travel inland in greece, we are thinking of renting a car. Any suggestions for car rental agencies?

Can we cover any other country along with greece if we extend our holiday from 2 weeks to 20 days?

Many thanks in advance.

Welcome to Thorn Tree, kajalveeru! Regarding your "itinerary", a few comments:

You're packing too much in to a short time. If you were able to add extra days, I'd use them for Greece, not adding another country on to your list.

Do you really mean "day trip to ...Paros" from Athens? Paros is one of the islands in the Cyclades, fairly close to Naxos. Perhaps you mean the island of Poros, south of Athens?

Apart from the little island in the caldera of Santorini, there really isn't much chance to visit another island for a day, apart from Ios, but you get so little time there that it is not worth it. If you think three days is too long on Santorini, cut short the trip by one day and add that time onto one of your other island suggestions. Which brings me to:

Andros/Naxos/Mykonos... you can't do all three plus Delos in that time. Pick ONE - and I'd suggest Naxos. Andros is fine, but for first-timers, Naxos is more appealing. Mykonos is my idea of hell, I'm afraid - but if you like to pay a lot of money to party and be surrounded by drunk Europeans, and shop in expensive boutiques, well fine. However, it is your only choice if you want to see Delos.

You won't have time to see much of the Peloponnese. Take a bus to Nafplion and hire a car there and visit places like Epidavros, Mycenae, Tyrens. You can also easily park the car in Galatas and take the little ferry the 5-min trip across to the aforementioned Poros.

I don't understand what you wrote.

Athens- 3-4 days (including a day trip to Delphi/Paros)
The day trip to Delphi I can understand, but Paros is a cycladic island.

Santaroni-3 days (includes a day trip to one of the nearby islands)
Why would you want to day trip to another island from Santorini? The next item already includes more islands

Andros/Naxos/ Mykanos- 3-4 days (includes a day trip to Delos)
You have named 3 different inhabited islands. Delos is an archaeological site you can visit as a day trip most easily from Mykonos, also possible from Naxos.

You seem to have constructed an itinerary of island names without any understanding of where these places are and how to travel between them. You need to improve you knowledge of the places you have named.

There will be good ferry connections between Santorini-Naxos-Mykonos. 6-7 days for them, including Delos day trip, will still be very limited, but I suspect that won't bother you too much. Anyway, it can be done.

Nafplio is a town in the Peloponnese. It's not and/or. Nafplio is a nice place to visit, and there are enough day trip possibilities around there for 4 days.

Can we cover any other country along with greece if we extend our holiday from 2 weeks to 20 days?
No. Not "cover". You could physically cross a border and be in another country and stay there for as long as time permits .. visiting a very limited number of attractions.

Hmmm, I wonder if it is possible to have software which gives the message "Warning! There is already someone typing up a long reply."
