Where best to stay in Tobago?

Hello again;
We would like to fly to Tobago for 2 nights and plan to rent a car. What is the most fun area to visit and where should we stay? We thought a charming local owned b&b with ocean view would be ideal but don't want to be too remote. Is there a better side of the island or Bay Area best if you only have two nights? bucco bay and pigeon point sound good. We read Scarborough was boring. Thoughts? Traveling with no children. Thank you in advance. We will be there last week of march 2013

Yes, the Pigeon Point/Buccoo Bay area would probably be my first choice just because (a) Pigeon Point beach is the nicest place to hang out on the island IMHO and (b) there are a few more choices of places to eat, etc. down in that area. Charlotteville would probably be my second choice, but it feels pretty far away from everything else and is all the way on the other side of the island. Scarborough is not that exciting, so I probably wouldn't stay there. Speyside is plain boring and there aren't hardly any food choices there. The only reason to stay there is that it is the closest place to the island's best diving spots.

Definitely rent a car. You should be able to cover all the highlights of the island in two pretty full days with a car.
