Boat from Siem reap to Phnom Penh

Is it possible to catch the boat from kampong Chang to Phnom Penh ? We have heard that this section is more interesting. This would be in July. Thanks

Siem Reap Ferry Dock:
The ferry to Siem Reap arrives at Chong Khneas near Phnom Krom, 12km south of Siem Reap. There is always transportation waiting at the dock. Mototaxis charge about $2-$3 and cars $6-$7 for the 20-30 minute ride into town.

The information is from Cambodia Tourism : http://www.tourismcambodia.com/travelguides/provinces/siem-reap/how-to-get-there.htm

There are different options by river if you would like to, just check out the website then contact them to make sure because sometimes schedules can be changed without notices.

Regards,
Mickey

Yes it is! Or at least in reverse - we went from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap in December last year and I'm sure the same trip would be available the other way round - why wouldn't it be? I can't remember which company we used though but it was a large speed boat type thing and it was a beautiful journey that took about 6 hours and we loved it. I took hundreds of photos too.

Mickey Mouse13 and Bellart1
Why are you both unable to comprehend plain, simple English?
The citing was P.P.to KAMPONG CHANG.
It defies logic how any person can confuse K.C.with Siem Reap
ONCE MORE it is impossible, for the simple fact there is NO BOAT
Bellart1.I have spent 9x 30 or 60 days in S.R.
You are the about the first person who i have heard to say a good word regarding this trip.
Read older Postings on this forum to get the opinions of the vast majoritiy

Thank you nisseyaklom for pointing this out, both to myself and mickey mouse, but of course giving the explanation to vbeck that we are not unable to read basic English but saw the title of the thread..... and replied to that.

I don't personally give a damn about the vast majority! WE enjoyed the trip and I was passing on MY opinion.

Note for vbek.

I did the SR to PP boat trip in early October, took 6h15mins and was fantastic. It seems when the water is up, most people report an enjoyable trip, but once water levels drop in the dry season it can be a very long trip indeed and hence reviewed badly.

Enjoy your travels,

Grazee

Dear hewittsontour. There should have been no hassle with such a simple query.
I can assure you there is NO Boat'
You did not cite. IS there a boat from Siem Reap To Phonm Penh.
NOR ask for opinions regarding this trip.
The large Capitol Bus/Tour Company deleted this service ages ago.
If you are inside this Boat you are seated on a wooden plank,
With the windows above head height.,meaning you have a zero view
On the deck as the majority of the trip is across the center of this vast Lake
You have a view of only water.
No one warned about the chaotic hazardous situation at its temination.
Nor the expense.which is about 6 times that of a Bus.
!0 months back Capitol Bus $4.75 I believe the Boat is at least $30
A warning if you are going to rely on this boat there is a chance it could be
canceled due to low levels in the out-let from the lake

Dear hewittsontour. There is no need to say sorry for posting a simple query.
''Boat from S.R.to P.P. is it possible to catch that boat from Kampong Chang to P.P.''
How simple can it get?
The answer is NO as it is a direct Service.
You did not cite. IS there a service between S.R.and P.P.
NOR did you cite for opinions regarding this trip
The following is not my opinion but a fact.
The large Capitol Bus/Tour Company deleted this same said Boat ''Service'' ages ago
Happy trip.

Of course it is possible to jump on the boat in Kg Chnang , the boat stop at several places on route, but it's only possible if the boat is in traffic right now, water level pretty low,,
