Accomodation in Patnem and Mandrem - for family with baby ?
Hi there, could anybody recommend me nice accomodation in Patnem and/ or Mandrem? I will be flying to Goa with my five months old baby, my four year old son and my husband on the 5th of march and will be arriving in the middle of the night. I really don't want to be looking for a good place to stay after an intercontinental flight with too little children in the middle of the night. As everything seems to be changing so quickly in Goa, I find it hard to find a good place to stay from here. Apparently all the places that used to be good are extensively overpriced and at the same time not at least as good as they used to be by now. That's why I would be ever so glad about some recent information about the places that are good right now.
What we need:
- With little children and a baby obviously a very good hygienic standard
- being at the beach
- nice garden for shade
- it would be great to have a a place that also offers good food.
I will be ever so glad for any advice! If you have contact data, that would be amazing.
Thank you in advance!

Whatever you do (whether you initially opt for north or south Goa) don't commit yourself in advance (i.e. don't pre-pay for anything). That way you can always move if you don't like place. Whatever anyone recommends it just might not be to your liking for whatever reason.Importantly by March tourist numbers are diminishing because it starts to get very hot in Goa. It makes it all the more easy to change your accomodation if you are not happy.
Goa is quite small. You can drive from the north to the south by taxi in under 2 hrs.

I stayed in my recent visit to goa(18 Jan to 24 Jan 2013) at following places-Patnem - Papayas Rs 2500 Per night
Mandrem - Cuba Retreat Rs 1200 Per night
Papayas is wonderful in terms of garden and location(Right on the Beach).
Cuba Retreat is not on the beach but Clean and Peaceful.
Both the places are good for Kids too.
Hope it Helps You.
