Manaslu info... safe link to website?

Been reading quite a few suggestions for the Manaslu Circuit, which is a possibility for my December trek. Scoodly posted a link to Manaslucircuit.com but when I tried to open it I got a security 'malware' warning on my screen, and as I know very little about technology that scared me enough not to proceed! Scoodly, if you;re there, do you know if it's ok to go ahead? Or does anyone have another means of getting into it or another suggestion of where to read up on it? I have lent my trails book to a friend and can't get it back for a while and I am living in Brunei where such books are not readily available... so I'm relying on you helpful TT people for now!
Thanks in advance for any info...
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
The Larkhye pass is often unpassable already in November. So, if you try in December, be sure to have a couple of spare days to backtrack.

Thanks Taghairm, I just tried the Manalslu link and it was fine this time... maybe it's just my laptop being temperamental... in fact I'm pretty sure it's my laptop as now it won't connect to the fedup link , not for any security reason, I'm just getting a message saying it won't connect, so I'l try again later.
Cheers,
Lisa

Hi Lisa

I think you are right to be cautious but sometimes anti-virus software seems to want justify itself! If you are still getting the warning maybe put a post on the travel tech branch for advice. The website is a community initiative and has lots of good info but for more general information maybe check trekking agents' itinerararies - google or see taan.org.np for links.

Good luck.

December might be a bit late to risk the Larkya La. Having said that so many more people are doing it, due to road building around the AC, that an organised group might be able to forge a path if there was a snowfall.

Thanks Scoodly & Farflung. Among its many current issues , TTseems to be failing to email nontifications of replies, despite me 'watching' a thread, so I've only just found your posts. Maybe it is just too late in the year... it also seems a min group of 2 is required, which I won't have so maybe this is not the option for me, after all. Cheers, Lisa
