Night in Badajoz

Hello everyone, I need a suggestion where to spend 6 hours in Badajoz drom 00.00 to 06.00 in the morning. I am arriving from Lisbon by bus at midnight and need to take a morning train to Seville. Is there any bus/train station or something open 24/7 where I can stay? I don't feel like going to any hostel or whatever just for 6 hrs.

Thanks!

Not sure much will be open, cannot remember the bus station at all. If you haven't already bought your ticket the Alsa bus arrives from Lisbon at 01.45 which gives you less time to wait around.

Well mine is Avanzabus. But if this makes me wait less, I might take that one :P I haven't book any yet. Do Avanza and Alsa use the same station in the south of the city?

This is not a bad option at all. I only wish the bus station is open all night long. I mean if they have these night buses, they should be open :/

Two comments:

1) Are you aware there aren't direct trains from Badajoz to Sevilla?
2) Why don't you take one of the direct buses from Lisbon to Sevilla?

Hi!
1) I know, I have to switch at Merida
2) It's a financial reason :) I have an interrail ticket for Spain, so I basically want to get as close to Portugal as possible by train and then pay the rest only. The same way back from Lisbon (get to the closest city in Spain by bus and then back on tracks :P

:))

Did not think about that before it is 12 euros more to go to Seville from Lisbon than Badajoz doesn't seem worth it really.

I mean it does not seem worth the hassle of changing in Badajoz

What are your travel dates?

If you are traveling on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you can take a morning bus from Lisbon to Badajoz with Avanzabus. Once in Badajoz, you could go to Sevilla by train changing trains in Mérida and Huelva. I know the train route means a (big) detour but with your pass it'll be free, won't it?

P.S.: I don't know the opening times of the bus station of Badajoz but the train station closes at night.

Huh. I think I will have to stick to my original plan and hope the bus station is open. In case any of you is from Badajoz by any chance, could you ring the station to ask them if they're open? :) I would really appreciate that ;) I know the train station is not open. Thanks for your help!
