7 days in Madrid

7 days in Madrid

Would you recommend multi-day trips to Seville/Malaga/Cadiz considering I only have 7 days in Madrid.

I want to see as much as possible with my time constraints.

Toledo will be on my agenda for day trips, but I want to be as efficient as I can in Madrid also.

You'll be able to use the short time that you've got most effectively if you stay in Madrid and make day trips to nearby cities, even including Salamanca which is 2 hrs+ by train. Add also Segovia and Avila and you'll see that you'd need more time. Both are about 1 hr trip by train or bus.

Of course it depends on your interests,but there is a lot to see and do in Madrid itself,and there are several very interesting day trips (even without Salamanca,which is a very long day trip for me...though a great place to visit).

Toledo,Segovia,Avila,El Escorial,Aranjuez etc etc

I agree with the above except if you want a break of scenery from Madrid every night maybe rather then just do a day trip to Segovia etc, spend 1 night there. For Salamanca I would spend the night there regardless due the the distance and travel time rather then having a very long day..
