Divers - best dive spots in CAHi from experiences, are the dive sites in Honduras as good or mayb even better than Belize? Trying to avoid the more touristy and expensive Belize and still get some amazing diving in. Thought I could get that from Honduras....but as I am in a bit of a rush diving is really my only focus in Honduras at this point.
Also is the diving in big blue hole that spectacular?

2I dont know about Belize either, have it high on my bucket list, Glovers Atoll and the Blue Hole, but I was diving on Roatan and Utila last May, and it was excellent, got my Advanced on Utila, both islands are a good scene and have inexpensive lodging, and the diving is endless, I hardly scratched the surface, I think if you dive 4 times a day for a week at both and be pretty impressed. There is also other further flung places to stay and dive as well, so I guess if you have 3 weeks, you could dive until grow gills. Its also cheap to dive there.

3Thanks for the advice on the dive spots!!
I'm off to Roatan in the next couple of days and now have to decide if it is better to stay on Roatan or Utila? What would you recommend...prob whatever would have the cheapest accomm and cheapest/closest access to dive sites would fit me best.
Any chance you have a good route in getting from Tikal to Roatan/Utila? Any boats from livingston or that area?
Thanks....can't wait to get to the oceans!!

4So go there in Utila....does anybody know of any specific dive locations that are most famous and need to be seen? Heard maybe sites on the north side of the island may be better than the south side.
Utila is amazing!
