1You won't have any difficulty. Your casa owner will arrange to have your laundry done, usually by the the person who does the work of the casa - cleaning, cooking, etc. The cost can very - i have had my laundry done for free, have paid 1 CUC for each time the laundry was done, have paid more than that - 2-3 CUC on occasion - in different casas.
Some casas have washing machines, but some empleadas have to do it by hand. And the detergent feels pretty hard on the hands......

3It depends on your relationship with the owner of the rental casa if you are a regular repeat client or first timer and how much your room is. If the usual price is $25 and you bargain him down to $20 because its low season it’s going to cost you in the end. At the beginning my partner asked if she could use his washing machine and later on the cleaning lady took over the job of washing and ironing our clothes for nothing and the owner has free coffee in the morning for its guest. We are just like 1 big happy family.

6There is no free lunch in Cuba. Be prepared to be gouged.

8Sorry, think it was actually the end of my holiday in Casa Havana so it was a double-load...

10My experience also has been that the casa owner will do laundry for me...at no charge but if the hired help does it, you may or may not want to tip, but ask the casa owner first. Failing that, there are laundrymats (spelling?) that charge for hand laundry.
I never get charged for coffee at the casa either but then again, I bring the beans as decent coffee is expensive for the casa owner. At the moment good black market coffee is hard to find.

13Hiya Rickie-1, I pay 30 CUC per night... which I'm happy with considering the quality of the casa.
Forgot to mention; the owner made clear that the payment for the laundry was for the staff that were taking the extra job... so I was happy with that too... but maybe I was just overly happy with everything at that point!

14Thanks for the info. I love the website and the listings. I have a cleaning lady (my partner) that does our laundry using the owner washing machine and his detergent but the last few times the hired cleaning lady told us to leave the dirty clothes on the floor and she will wash and press them at no cost because at the end of our vacation I usually leave her a tip.
but maybe I was just overly happy with everything at that point
maybe you are just a happy go lucky guy unlike some other posters that go to Cuba with a bad attitude and a chip on their shoulders.
