hello all

Is it possible to take regular passenger ferries from somewhere like Guwahati , ASSAM down the brahmaputra into bangladesh DHAKA or similar.I do not need/want the touristic gin palaces.; all ideas are fine since I am early in my travel plans for dec 2013

Not at all. The only real ferries I have seen are to cross the river only.
