Jordan visa in LondonWas hoping to travel israel - west Bank - Jordan, using Allenby Bridge, so need Jordan visa in advance.
Website and London Embassy says it can take a 2-3 of months, maybe shortened to 7-8 weeks by paying a "fax fee" of £40 (I'm used to embassies taking the p*** with fees, especially when it comes to express service, but calling it a fax fee, as though it takes £40 to send a fax???)
Anyone applied for a jordan visa in london? Does it really take this long (for UK passport holder)?
Otherwise, applying in Ramallah - can I expect to waste a whole day there? Or more?
Grateful for any info.

1Well, your first problem would be finding the embassy. I tried two different addresses - didn't bother with the third as by then I'd had enough.
It's easy enough, and fast, to get one at the border. According to this post - http://www.naftalitours.com/?CategoryID=357 it';s possible. Maybe double-check this with the embassy in London?
