OP, Thailand isn't such a soft touch. Any such idiocy such as his "previous" and tagging will be the last of his worries.

I was going to say that surely any country will (and should) decide for themselves whether to issue a visa and if the Thai authorities do their homework correctly, they will probably not grant him permission?

3. You do not need a visa for a stay of less than 30 days visit to Thailand. Thai immigration will not give a hoot when he enters the country.
