Genoa and Cinque Terre within 3 days

Hi everyone,

I already booked 3 nights accomdation in Cinque Terre but I come across another idea is I choose Genoa as a base (2 days) and spent the third day to visit the 5 village island. I am not sure it is a good idea, Is it possible for me to see all the hight-light of the C.T, within one day? From Genoa to C.T, which one you suggest? by train, ? by boat?

Thanks a lot

@milasoer, I'm going to read this thread with interst due to plans to visit Liguria including Cinque Terre by car but your query upsets me because your labeling it as an island to visit the 5 village island

There were some floods but..?..
What did I miss?

Milasoer, you will find you'll get better reponses if you engage in two-way conversation. You haven't responded to, or thanked anybody at your previous posts:

Just like in real life, it's a little rude to ask something and not to say thank you. And just like in real life, people don;t like helping those who have a habit of being rude and/or ungrateful

I planned to visit Italy for 1 month from July. As I am a visitor, I know only a bit about Italy and just want to ask somehting I don't know. But the replies I received, honestly speaking, is very rude and impolite. Are those guy come from Italy? MTL, Did you comment all the person who didn't say thank you. If you think it is not worth to help, why bother to comment my post?! You can simply ignore it !!!

It is quite strange to receive your comment like this in this Italy forum. They way you talk , the response you make is simply unfriendly which turn my mood down when I travel in Italy

milasoer..you have been asked several times,on several different threads for a response.

At least you have finally given one...even if it is only one that proves you are rude as well as ignorant......

I was going to respond to this post and suggest a link to a thread on Cinque Terre. But having now read that you are in the habit of not acknowledging responses to threads you start, I have decided not to respond with any help at all.

You will find the TT can be very helpful milasoer and there are plenty of experienced travellers here who can answer some of the most detailed questions. But NO ONE wants to spend their time answering if the their time and effort is not even acknowledged at all.

Perhaps in the culture of the country you come from, it is not considered necessary to say thank you when you ask for something and are given it. I know there are countries where that is the case. However, here on the TT it is expected. Since you are operating in the 'TT world' you should realize it makes sense to play by the TT rules of conduct.

Let's pretend this is happening on a street and not on the internet.

Scenario 1:
You: How do I get from Milan airport to Genoa?
Lucapal: I'd take a bus to the central train station and catch a train. They're very frequent.
You: (walk away)

Scenario 2:
You: Which is better, Naples or Amalfi?
A Brit in Ischia: Well, that depends. But I'll provide you with lots of links to websites that will help you decide for yourself.
You: (walk away)

Etc...
