Trip from San Jose
hey!I'm in San Jose the whole next weak (11-15.) and would like to travel around for one or two days to near sights or the beach :) travelling with a group seems more funny and safe, so if there is someone out there who has the same problem, write a message! we could also visit some spaces in San Jose but I think that the country is more interesting...cu :)

The nearest sites for a nice overnight are La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano area for adventure/mountains, about 3 hours from SJ.For beach, you can go to Manual Antonio area is 3.5 hours, more honeymoon/couples/touristy, or to Jaco, a surf town that is raunchy an a destination that is more like a bachelor party, beach is not great, dark brown sand and rough surf.
You could raft the Rio Pacuare as well.
Tortuguero Canals is another great weekend trip but requires 2 nights IMO.

You can do a 3 in 1 tour from most hostels/lodging in SJ to Paos/La Paz and a coffee finca...
