Good news for tourists?

Saw this today on Press TV's website:

Does this mean that European tourists will soon be able to get cash out out Bank Saderat ATMs in Iran, rather than carrying around huge sacks of euros?

Isn't Press TV an Iranian backed company? I wouldn't even believe what my own government was telling me, let alone any other country's government. But I guess I'm just cynical.

Probably not. Meastro/Master and VISA-cards are American owned. Most cards in Europe are from those companies. So EU-citizen won't be able to get money out of the ATM.

Why do you plan to carry hge sacks of euros? Are you investing in a serious business prospect? Otherwise, about 20 100 euro notes should do you nicely.

if you love persian carpet you are very welcome to Desert village of Toudeshk 100 km from Esfahan toward Yazd.(look at Lonely planet guide book) in here local people make carpet you can buy directly from them.
