kyrgyz visa in uzbekistan

kyrgyz visa was a breeze the only thing to know really is that the bank where you are supposed to pay for your visa is Bank Melli near Hamid Alimdjan (check spelling) Metro stop, quite close really to the emabassy (maybe 15 minutes walk), so maybe possible in a day. although they told me 3 working days for fast track i showed up a day early having paid and they just made me wait 10 minutes for visa. it's expensive (especially if you're planning to just pass through a corner of the country) $112.20, rounded up to $113 at the bank, but the staff are friendly and laid back. I don't know for sure but i rekon if you really needed it in a day, and showed up for the morning session (not sure about times i only went for afternoon session from 2 til at least 4) went off and paid and came back with stamped pay slip they'd probably give it to you then.

please note that for many nationalities (including EU passport holders) you no longer require a visa to enter kyrgyzstan. this information is important as I have heard of travellers being issued with (and charged for) visas after the law change. (unconfirmed reports)
