They go for 9-10-11-12 pesos depending upon where you are in the Philippines. 12 is the top price ordinary Filipinos would expect to pay, day to day, for a single tube of toilet roll (though they always call it 'tissue'. and never mention any toilet). Saris close to places in tourist areas where there are lots of foreigners, might charge 20, but 40 is just totally ridiculous. No Filipino would pay even 20 for tissue.35
