Buy a ticket in Siem Reap straight through to Kratie. The bus company will tell you about how to transfer in Kampong Cham, or possibly in Skuon. Sorya definitely does it, other companies might too. Ask at your guesthouse or at any bus ticket stall on the road around town, or call the numbers listed for bus companies on the Canby Publications website. Most companies have someone on hand most of the time who can speak English.Be sure to try the local delicacy if your transfer's in Skuon, aka "Spider City".

the bus that goes to Kampong Cham cuts a corner and providing that the river crossing is not to slow will be quicker and the transfer easier but agree if you do go via Skuon then do try the spiders - they taste better than they look
