I went to Madagascar with a group of friends (5 Aussie women) in October/November 2011, and booked directly with Lalaina of MTTC (Madagascar Tours and Travel Company), after getting quotes and information from around 7 other Madagascar based operators.

She was quick to get back to me, offered extra information and advice based on what we were asking for, and most importantly, when one of the hotels was not up to standard (cleanliness of one room), she was super fast to get in touch with the manager and arrange a full refund for us for the affected people.

It's not always about how smooth a trip is, but how well the operator can rectify any issues en route. This was the only hiccup we had, and she really excelled herself to get it sorted out for us.

I highly recommend her (and also Fetra, our driver/guide) to anyone wanting to go to Madagascar.

I am living in Moshi right now and I know Kelly and some info about your trip to Mada.
Can you give me the time of year you went. I was thinking August but am not sure.
