Wellington Freedom Camping?Well hello there!! :)
So me and my mate are, optimistically, looking for somewhere in the wellington city region where we could freedom camp with access to running water?
We would need to be able to go into and out of wellington city because we both work there, but kind of want to get back to camping and nature and adventure. The city is taking its toll so we were looking to see if we could set up camp and still have access to the city!
I know its probably a lot to ask :/ but if any of you have tried anything similar please let us know of your experience!
lots to learn here I think! :)

3If i were you i would find a campsite, out of town a little ways and camp near there for nothing, so you could sneak in use their showers and toilets for free around midnight?
And going into work i would suggest you ride on the top of the bus for free, and the garbage tins in the CBD are a good source of food after lunch time.

5There are a few DOCS places where you can camp for $10 per person per night. They have toilets and running water, but all are at least 30 km from Wellington and have no bus services.
All have a maximum period of 2 to 4 weeks.
I think your idea is not practicable.
