Warnings for Peru

Hello,

i just came across these 2 postings of recent assaults in Peru on " Crazy guy on a bike " and like to post them here so cyclists can be aware of potentially dangerous areas.

Good post that Axel. People doing a cycle tour in Peru need to be be aware of the dangers in certain areas of Peru and from what i hear further north in parts of Mexico. It is only by postings such as these that we can get an idea of the areas to be avoided if possible.

One thing i did think about the second horrific account though was they clearly had no insurance, dont want to take this into the i cannot afford insurance debate but if they had insurance they would have been out of there having treatment in the states. The car and luggage is not so important really.
