4Get over yourself bzookaj and get a life, maybe some of us are so busy enjoying ourselves we don't have time to put all details, or maybe we are open to a whole variety of budgets interests etc. I am sick and tired of the rudeness and intolerance on this forum. Get a life instead of just posting of lonely planet.

5So if you want to find a hotel in Nashville, why dont you just put in Google, Priceline, then Opryland Hotels, and a entry page of options for lodging appears? It ranges the gambit, a map will also appear, and you can see other options nearby to Opryland.
But I do agree, you really need to offer more info, otherwise, just go to the hotel booking sites. Unless you want a Bed Breakfast, then use Trip Advisor.
If you are so busy, then get the correct info you need in a concise post that will have fat results and be done with it. Otherwise, how is someone to answer the question above, seriously?

7thank you solohobo, it was a saturday night went i posted this message we had friends over with whom we are going to the New York with in June and we were googling accommodation in Nashville as we will being visitng there after New York, but we were not sure which hotels were close to attractions. I will try what you suggested.
Perhaps I didn't put in enough info, but we are quite open ended at the moment. I just hate the way people lodge personal attacks, and say things like she is vague and maybe she will learn, it hit a personal note calling me vague as my mother died recently of dementia, which all began with vagueness. Hence my anger with bzookaj

2) It's not something I knew until you told us.
3) Item 2 is the point--if you don't tell us, we don't know. And you have a history of that, which I find extremely rude. We don't need a life history, just some basic details so that we aren't wasting our time and yours. And I will note how you still haven't indicated a budget, as requested by SoloHobo.

9Certainly never ever meant to be rude. We would like accommodation in the heart of Nashville as we don't have a car while there, at approx 150 AUD per night.

12Thanks bzookaj, we booked the best western music row.

13Best Western Music Row is a good location--but it's not easily walking distance to downtown. It's walkable--but a very long walk. I'd stay somewhere directly downtown if possible so you can walk to the honky tonk bars, Country Music Hall of Fame, etc...
I'm a personal fan of The Renaissance Hotel, The Hilton, or Hampton Inn, but those may be expensive. Look at hotels.com and look at the ones that say "DOWNTOWN". Those are your best bet.
If you're unable to change, then Best Western Music Row will do just fine--just plan to take a short cab ride whenever you'd like to go downtown. There are bars/restaurants directly across the street so it's still a fun location.
