headin from hanoi to the north of laos.

Hi my girlfriend and I are travelling from Hanoi into northern Laos and plan on spending two weeks through the country... any suggestions on where to head once we get there? Were looking for a bit of everything, adventure, relaxation, scenery, partying etc..
