VISA renewal?
I posted a similar topic for El Salvador, but couldn't leave my passport there for the time they required.I have spoken to many people about this and am yet to receive a clear cut answer so if I could get one here it would be great!
My C4 has not expired and I intend to renew it on the 89th or 90th day in Managua after I come down from Honduras.
If I could receive verification on the following it would be much appreciated:
- You can renew your VISA at the Metrocentro Mall in Managua and NOT leave your passport there as they will do it on the spot
- You do NOT need a local Nicaraguan there as a notary
- You can get a new 30, 60 or 90 days
Thanks in advance!

I renewed it in Managua for three months on the spot. Should cost around 25 us and you do not need a local as a notary. Had it done at the immigration office ,Migracion y Extranjeria. Every taxidriver will know where that is...5
What is the difference between the metro & the "main office"?I will be flying to Corn Islands and am assuming that I will need my passport for that?

I've been to both Metro Centro and Plaza Los Americas. The cost to renew for 90 days is $75, you can renew for less just remember every day that you are over your visa is a fee of $2.10. Both times when renewing it was done on the spot, now this is for a tourist visa, my passport is from usa. Not sure if it's the same with a C4. If you do overstay your visa you won't get in trouble, just need to pay the penalty upon exiting. $2.10 per day.
