Few of my guests grill lobster, probably because steam/boiling is quick and pretty much fool proof if they don't over-cook them. We use seawater, whatever herbs are handy: Bayberry leaves, parsley, chives .... What they use for dips is up to them. I love grilled lobster tails but haven't tried grilling the entire critter.
+I pray thee let me and my fellow have
A hair of the dog that bit us last night -
And bitten were we both to the brain aright.
We saw each other drunk in the good ale glass.+
Give us a haire of the dog that last bit us.
I have heard too the application of the ashes of river crabs is good for yer problem Tony.
A guid Scottish hangover cure aptly called, "Hangover Express":
150g of broccoli
2 apples
150g of spinach
Blend all with crushed ice and serve in a highball.
High in vitamins A and C. The apples help to cleanse and detoxify.
The symptoms of hangover are partly induced by a withdrawal from alcohol poisoning. A small measure of alcohol may be some temporary relief, even if in the longer term it makes the hangover worse.
Take your pick.
If you moved closer to me you could borrow some room in my big freezer, Kerouac. I'd only ask that you defrost it first. My big freezer is quite old and doesn't defrost itself. Not only had I forgotten what a pain it is to defrost a freezer, it's the biggest one I've ever had so it's even worse! Ugh!

Kerouac, it truly was an amazing turkey but, as shashac says, there might be issues with removing it from all that oil ( And sashac should NEVER be allowed near the system!)Few of my guests grill lobster, probably because steam/boiling is quick and pretty much fool proof if they don't over-cook them. I drink plenty of water and/or Gatorade before and/or after (since it's part dehydration) and then take a couple Advil or Tylenol and a stomach medicine before I go to bed. I could throw in an apple but I think I'll skip on the drink. I couldn't stomach broccoli and spinach for breakfast on a regular day, much less with a hangover.41
I wish I had a large freezer. I was reading anonimo's tale recently on another site about his lovingly prepared several liters of beef stock and thinking I could maybe freeze a liter of it max and then curse the precious space it was taking up if I didn't use it fast. My parents had the top of their full size refrigerator in the kitchen to freeze stuff, plus a full stand-up freezer in the garage for all of the long term items -- you 'non big city' folks do not realize how good you have it to be able to have such equipment. If I had a stand-up freezer, I'd have to move to toilet out into the hall of the building.42

We have the largest chest freezer I could find when my original died after about 25 yrs. We defrost about now-- when it's cold enough to put the contents outside in boxes, scrape the freezer interior with the car frost-scraper, spatulas, etc. We haul out the hairdryers, pans of hot water and whatever else works. And yes, Anon, we do know how lucky we are -- we couldn't make it through the winter without the freezer. Or: "The Freezer"ADVERTISEMENT
