No recommendations, but here's how you'll find one. In India, men's tailors do men's clothes, women's tailors do women's clothes.Ask around. And on that note, anyone that cam sew you something in an hour, might not be the one you want - does he have enough business? And any decent tailor can copy anything. Figure about Rs120-150 to copy a blouse, with your fabric.

Thanks, I've gotten things tailored in India before; and actually have found that "gents" tailors prefer to take on my work as the ladies tailors are less used to things like collars and cuffs. However, my question is about finding an area specializing in western tailoring for ladies. This is an actual niche market that exists for NRIs and westernized Indians and I would rather get help in finding the specialized area than waste my time, money and cloth patronizing a tailor who is unfamiliar sewing things like ruffles, gathers and miniskirts.
So- I'd still welcome some tailor suggestions.

Nice to see you back, Pirate, It's a pity that we cant send pms any more but am pleased that young lady travellers will be less molested.I hope g/f's health has at least stabilised'
I am currently unable to travel as my left eye eventually failed because of an embolism on the optic nerve, which rendered the transplant as a waste of time and effort.

Pirate at 50, do you actually have a life beyond bullying posters (especially female) on Thorn Tree? Why are you always mentioning a "girlfriend"? Nobody else off-topic mentions their significant other. Seriously, if you have a problem with a question no one is forcing you to answer it with vignettes about your"girlfriend".
