Maputo to Manzini Airport by Taxi?

Hi all,

Having given up on trying to hire a car to go Maputo-Swaziland-Kruger in a one-way rental, I've decided the easiest way to do this is probably take a taxi from Maputo to Manzini Airport, where I believe there is an Avis office which will do a one way cross border rental to Kruger.

We have a tight timetable in Swaziland and don't want to rely on public transport.

So my question is - how easy is it to get a taxi driver in Maputo to take you to Manzini Aiport?

Is this something I'd have to arrange in advance? I guess so as my hotel in Maputo can't give me a straight answer about booking this for me?

Any advice much appreciated or recommended companies much appreicated!

Not really. The border is quite a chaotic place. Might take you some time. Not sure if Mozzie cabs are allowed to cross the border.

You will need to arrange a driver, not sure if a regular taxi would do this. It's not a huge distance but certainly not one a taxi would normally do.

Thanks for the advice!

The only company I've found that will quote me a price is bushunlimited.co.za. And it isn't cheap, espically given it is not a huge distance... but it may be the only way other than using various public buses.
