A short walk from the town takes you to "Old Bagan". It's not really hiking but it's nice area to walk around.

We did a few days with a young lad called Joy near Hsipaw. All of his treks are tailor made. He's based in Kyaukme (which gives you the ride over the viaduct) but I recall him telling us that sometimes he works in Hsipaw.
