Indian visa questions for US citizen
Hi there,I'm a US citizen. It is possible to get an Indian visa without knowing exactly when I will want to enter the country? In other words, how long do Indian tourist visas last for? I'd like to submit a refundable e-ticket and then have the visa to use whilst traveling in the region. Not sure if this is possible (i.e. they just give you the date of your flight and nothing more?)
Thanks,
A

BTW forgot to mention, that doesn't mean you can stay in India for 10 years.4
Yes and no...IF you get a one time entry, then it starts from the date of issue which is not good. If you get a 5 or 10 year visa, which is only available for US passport holders, (its double the price as a single and makes no difference if you get a 5 or 10), THEN the 6 months starts on the day you arrive into India. This is by far the best deal.
