A bit lost in Central Europe

Hi guys, this is Ivan from Argentina, planning my second trip to Europe next April.

Two years ago I visited several big cities and some smaller ones in the UK, the Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain. This year, I have to stop in London for the first couple of days, and I'm also planning to visit Greece by the end of my trip.

I have 8 free days in the middle of this, in which I really don't know what the best option can be. My budget is quite limited but should not be a problem. I'd like to stay in Berlin (from where I'm flying to Athens), spending three days somewhere else, hopefully enjoying some nice natural sightseeing / gorgeous-looking city. My thoughts:

1- Flying to Strasbourg and touring around the area before taking a train to Berlin (Black Forest? maybe even Switzerland?)
2- Flying to Munich, staying around the area, then hitting Berlin.
3- Flying to Berlin, then round-trip train to Prague.

Any other option? I'd really appreciate your comments.
Thank you!

Hola

The number 1 idea probably is the one I like the most reading your post. But skip Switzerland, it´s quite expensive...

The only thing is that without rent car, exploring the Black Forest could be a bit difficult. Strasbourg it´s quite ok, but you could see it in a day (don´t forget to go to the top of the cathedral), and from there perhaps go to Heidelberg and explore few places in the area. I would leave at least 3 days for Berlin, it´s quite nice city (also worth it a visit to "Sachsenhausen concentration camp" in one morning. If you are thinking in visiting the palaces in Potsdam, then you would need one more day. 2-3 days in Munich could be also good idea, but going to Prague and go back from Berlin I think would be quite a waste of time traveling...

Other idea is expend 3-4 days in Belgium (Brugge, Ghent and Brussels) before move on to Berlin

Enjoy!!

Thank you very much for your answer!
I'll keep researching but Strasbourg and its surrounding area can't be bad at all.

Saludos!
