BKK to Suan Son Pradiphat transport options needed. and TAT Hua Hin number?

Can anyone give me a link to the train timetable that goes from BKK past Hua Hin to Suan Son Pradiphat and can you tell me if it ever stops there on Monday and Fridays?
if not I guess I will have to go to Hua Hin and catch a taxi.

Does anyone have the phone number of TAT in Hua Hin? I have yet to get an answer from BKK TAT and can't find number to ring from Australia.
Many thanks JoyV

go to the State Railways of Thailand site for train times to Hua Hin and if this is where I think it is I believe that there was one train a day that stoped there in each direction which I am guessing was train 255 but do not take my word on this as some years since I was there

The train from Bangkok going south reaches Hua Hin typically about 20-40 later than scheduled around noon. There is a late night train as well.

Looks like there are several trains every day that stop at Hua Hin

Thanks for all your help. Arraina it looks like we take early train 08.05 especially as it may run late. May be on time if it is special express. JoyV

the 08.05 is more likely than most to be on time but do not count on it but the good news is that the local train is just as likely to be late and overtaken by the special before HH.

From Hua Hin to Suan Son Pradiphat there is (or used to be) a regular Songthaew but if you want to go direct why not check out if train 255 does indeed stop and get that (only 3rd class)

Thanks for that additional info bigal1, where do I find the correct songthaew? Maybe I need to practice my reading skills for Suan Son Pradiphat?
Will check if any train stops at station but I predict that it does so only on week ends when the place is really jumping! JoyV

it was a daily train that stopped and as I said it may well be the 225 in which case just check either before you board the Sprinter in Bangkok or when you arrive at HH (they will also be able to tell you the expected time of arrival)

Best check this but the songthaew left from the main road (straight down from station and to the right) as long time since I was there and things may have changed (usually someone at the station will speak enough english to direct you)

Thanks for those helpful hints. Last time I stayed there I caught the local tour coach from the bus stop on Main Rd. Not sure if it was entirely legal or just way of drivers making a little more money or just did it out of the kindness of their heart. Still had to walk about 1 kms to main road bus stop. Now I will try and ring Hua Hin TAT. JoyV
