BUDGET accommodation in BALI

Hello! travelling around bali and surrounding area in june/july. we are students and looking for the cheapest rooms available! on the internet the youth hostels seem more expensive than i expected. will there be cheaper youth hostels that are not on the internet that you can just turn up to? there is a group of five of us, so was worried they might be booked up if we just turn up as its peak season!
thanks

Legian Beach Bungalows in Jalan Padma has doubles with fan for IDR 120,000. Swimming pool, garden, good food - excellent value. Eat at Warung Canggih in Jalan Padma Timur just over the intersection with Jalan Legian

In Ubud - Wayan Family Homestay in Jalan Hanoman No. 52. Quiet, clean, family compound. Walking distance to Jalan Goutama where Warung Dewi has cheap food. There is also a nasi Padang resaurant in Hanoman for authentic, good value Indonesian food

Legian beach area has many guesthouses. Bali Village Hotel is decent guesthouse I guess. Room is small but ok level, they have swimming pool and a small bar for relaxing. It costs about $30 per night which isn't bad from the area and condition of the hotel. You can look around at other hotels, there are many guesthouses around legian and kuta area. Fave Hotel is quite nice, it is local chain hotel and very cheap. Standard and quality will be better than guesthouse in terms of rooms and bed etc.

It depends on budget, I think $30 per night isn't bad if it includes breakfast. You can also look around city area because hotel will be cheaper than beach area.

Cheers,

The cheapest way in Bali is always just to turn up and look around.

There are many places that aren't on the Internet at all,and don't even have 'fixed' prices. Not 'youth hostels' but family run guesthouses.

Where exactly do you want to go?
