Cape Town

Hi Guys,

Can anyone recommend a cheap way to get to Cape Point without a car. I don't have the facilities to rent a car and don't want to fork out a fortune to get to Cape Point

Cheers

I am certain you can find a day tour to Cape Point. And I believe you maybe able to catch train+ bus there. However, car is still the best way for you to see the peninsula. Check roundaboutcar. You probably can rent one for US$50.

Unfortunately there is no public transport to Cape Point - the train only goes as far as Simon's Town. Renting a car for a day is actually cheaper than joining a tour and highly recommended to explore the peninsula.

I agree with Lucy, renting a car is the best option for the Cape Point day, and if divided between a few people, will be cheaper than going on a tour and offer you more autonomy.

The se guys do cheap car rental, but not sure if they just do single day hire... http://www.renta-vw.co.za/

Hope that helps,
