Cheap one way airfare down to South America

Hi Hola!

Having trouble finding a cheap flight from Guatemala City down to South America!!

Any help would be appreciated!

Rarely is there cheap airfare between CA & SA...check COPA and TACA for specials.

You might have better luck on TACA out of San Salvador, but don't hold your breath for a miracle fare.

Flights from Central America to South America aren't usually cheap. In addition to the airlines suggested by SoloHobo in #1, if you don't bother to go changing flights in the USA, you could take a look at Spirit too (read carefully their rules, fees... though). You can also take a look at Aeromexico changing planes in Mexico DF, American Airlines (changing in Miami)... BTW, if you don't bother to depart from Cancún, LAN could be another option.

Webs like Skyscanner or Kayak or the web linked by SoloHobo in #1 could be useful to find the cheapest option on your travel date. You could need to look for spirit fares separately though.

Join TACA's frequent flyer program "Life Miles". It is free.
It is 9,500 miles to fly o/w from GUA to Colombia or Ecuador. You can buy miles for $30 per 1,000. So, $285 o/w GUA to Colombia, Ecuador and I believe Lima.
