Does anyone know if its possible to camp here? Or if its possible to day days long excursions into the park? Is samaipata the easiest entrance to it?
Gracias!

On the Samaipata side you can reach some cloudforest sections of the park (in the hills). I've been there on my own.
For the tropical valleys of the park you need to go to Buena Vista. It is possible to camp, yes, but normally all tousits go with a guide or an agency.

Everyone was telling me while in samaipata to only go with a guide. I would like to try it for myself and some other people. Getting ti the entrance I hear from samaipata is expensive though in itself

I actually walked from Samaipata to a section of forest high up in the park. Sorry, I'm not home, so I can't check in my notes for the name of the place. There is a small village on the way where there is accomodation. I was absolutely alone.

From Buena Vista, I joined a 2-day agency tour for the tropical section.
