Am I right guessing you mean the town of Ribeira (click in the link to know where I mean)? or Do you mean one of the villages called Ribeira (if yes, which one?)? or maybe, Do you mean the Ribeira Sacra?BTW, in order to sugggest things to do, it would be a good idea (in order to make suggestions as accurate as possible) to know what are your interests, what are you looking for. Beaches? Art? Shopping? Nightlife? Nature?...
