4-5 days is kinda quick.
It's about 24 hours of driving on the most direct route, with no sight seeing or side-trips, and with 5 days you gotta figure sleeping time etc.

The best nature is along a time-consuming western route.
Charleston Philadelphia DC etc. are all along the I-95 corridor.

I would try to spend a day in Savannah, maybe two in Charleston.

Sheesh I could spend a week or more in Virginia, Jamestown, Williamsburg, Monticello, a battlefield or two. DC is worth two full days (at least), Philadelphia is a love-it-or-hate-it location, I love it, but cutting out Philly is probably a good way to save time.

I dunno. You've got to cut down your schedule somehow. It's March and the NE is a little cold (not unbearably so). I'd think Florida-Georgia-S Carolina

Tampa to Charleston is 7 hours- get hotel, have dinner, walk around, next day go to Minndleton Plantation, then leave

Charleston to Williamsburg VA is another 7 hours- Get hotel, have dinner, walk Colonial Williamsburg, next day go to Yorktown, see battlefields, drive the parkway, head to DC

Williamsburg to Wash DC is 3.5 hours, get hotel, see whitehouse, go to one of 6 huge Smithsonians, go out to dinner, stay near Dupont Circle, walk the Lincoln/Vietnam memorial at night, next morning, hit Goergetown, 1 more museum, drive to Annapolis, leave, drive to Philly.

DC to Philly 3 hours, find hotel, stay near Rittenhouse SQ, enjoy museums and nightlife, next day drive to JFK, another 3 hours.

The other route would be after Charleston, hit Asheville, big music scene, drive the BRB, then head to Philly after a night.
