Pearl farm- I would say that any positive thing you hear or read about the place is coming from day trippers. Who I would estimate make up probably 75% of their visitors. As a guest staying there, that really sucks, kills the service and all the chairs are taken by them.

Imagine a week at an island and the only fish available is bangus or dried fish. Seriously, that is fish that 80% of the country eats for the purpose of providing protein to their otherwise nutritionally challenged diet.

The place looks pretty in photos however.

Oh, and up on the hillside, above the beach at the far end of the resort, there is a little NPA armed camp that the resort pays for "protection" I went up there for a good photo shot back down on the resort, and had a chat with them.
Remember what happened at this resort a few years back when rebels stormed the airport?

This resort is a fraud, unless your their for a day trip. You have been warned!
