A tiny town in Sichuan called Xigong is known for it's dinosaurs and its lantern festival. I was there many many years ago and found their lantern festival a little over rated. At the time it was "worth it if you're in the area" but not worth traveling halfway across China to see.China has changed a lot in the past 2 decades so I can't really say for sure what it's like now, but the dinosaurs are cool either way.
