Some travel questionsI am traveling the week to Japan from Russia and have a few questions
I will be in Japan for research for about a month, my itinerary is fluid but these places I know I would liked to visit
Mt fuji Eco village
And maybe yamagata
I was cosnsiding purchasing the JR pass as it seems this is the cheapest option to do this and others
Is that true?
2. I will be staying in budget accommodations preferably private rooms but not averse to dorms. I see that most talk about linen included or not - towels for hire. Do they have blankets in most budget locations? I do not have a sleeping bag with me!
3. I see the weather online - but what is it like indoors? Is it cold in most hoes tells/ etc or warm?
4. Any recommendations for good, friendly, budget accommodations in Tokyo- convenient to reach from airport( not sure which I am arriving from have not yet purchased ticket but coming from Khabarovsk Russia if that is helpful.., centrally located,. And on JR line if that is reasonable.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice

1When will you travel?
the week = this week?
JR passes make the most sense when you cover long distance in short times.
Until you work out your itinerary, it's hard to know whether it's worthwhile or not.
If you go to Yamagata, a JR east pass may be worthwhile.
Will you fly into Tokyo or Niigata?
I think it should be ShiGa prefecture
Night buses are also worth conssidering.
if you can go Tokyko- Kyoto- Kyushu and back in a week you will definitely save money.
most people don't travel with sleeping bags - places can be cold indoors, but you should be fine.
4. Any recommendations for good, friendly, budget accommodations in Tokyo- convenient to reach from airport( not sure which I am arriving from have not yet purchased ticket but coming from Khabarovsk Russia if that is helpful.., centrally located,.
Kharbarovsk flights go to either Niigata or Tokyo Narita. Take a look at Ks in Kuramae as an accommodation option. Asakusa has a lot of budget accommodation but is not on JR.

8Solaseed Air fly from Haneda (Tokyo) to Miyazaki.
You may also be eligible for one of the air passes which gives you a discounted price on JAL/ANA airfares, both of which fly from Haneda to Miyazaki
Having said that, you may find a 21 day JR Pass more convenient for your travels overall. Depends where you go and when. Note that you must buy the JR Pass in your own country before you come to Japan. You cannot buy it in Japan.

10If you can post a rough idea of your schedule, it might be easier to suggest transport options.
It's pretty cool here, but it should be positively tropical compared with Khabarovsk!
